Hair-Tinted Glasses

The first thing I notice on a person is–you guessed it–their hair.  I can’t help it!  Old habits die hard.

When I re-read my second manuscript, I noticed that all the descriptions of my characters were not descriptions of them–I only described their hair.  No strands were left uncovered.  (Believe me I fixed this in my re-writes.)

Next would be Taraji P. Henson.  She is rocking that cut!BET Awards Arrivals

I feel like I have hair-tinted glasses on all the time.  Whenever I describe someone in real life I always start with their hair.

“Did you see the girl with the angled bob cut?”

“No, not her, the one with all the split ends.”

Annoying?

Yes.

Will I do something about it?

 Absolutely not!
